Innovative Community Participation

We offer NDIS Innovative Community Participation services whereby the participants acquire skills, together with confidence and positive relations in the community. As registered NDIS providers, our programs will enable people to be socially engaged, mature, and become increasingly independent with the assistance of meaningful and interesting activities.

We are eager to co-exist as a community – to learn new tricks, to share experiences, and to contribute in one way or another that a member will value, engage, and be empowered.

What is NDIS Innovative Community Participation?

Innovative Community Participation is a capacity-building support program that is funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It helps the participants to learn skills of socialization, community involvement, and day-to-day involvement.

These supports are typically offered in the relationship with real-life situations in accordance with the group-based or individual practices and enhance learning, communication, and confidence development. This help does not merely imply that you will go out there and engage in activities, but also belonging, being involved, and making a sense of purpose.

Our Innovative Community Participation Supports

We offer customized, interactive, and flexible programs that are tailored to the interests and goals of the participants. Supports may include:

  • Group-based community and social activities
  • Skill-building programs to support communication and social interaction
  • Creative workshops, e.g., art, music, media, learning-based activities
  • Growth of communication skills and confidence building
  • Community engagement and community participation programs
  • Help to build hobbies, interests, and new experiences
  • Formal team building, independence, and collaboration activities
  • Opportunities to build friendships and social networks
  • Support to use practice skills in practice-based community settings

All of this is offered in regard to the NDIS plan goals and desired outcomes.

A Supportive, Person-Centered Approach

Active participation looks different for everyone. That’s why we make our approach flexible, open, and premised on what is most important to all involved participants.

Our programs are:

  • Inclusive and person-centered
  • Focused on skills development and independence
  • Well presented in supportive, respectful, and engaging environments
  • Led by creative facilitators and support workers
  • Designed around participant strengths and interests
  • Safe, organized, and significant

We promote the participants to learn at their own pace with a sense of encouragement, appreciation, and belongingness during the learning process.

Building Skills for Everyday Life

The supports offered by Innovative Community Participation are not only concerned with the social activities alone, but they also help the participants to learn practical skills that can be used in daily life, which are:

  • Communication and teamwork
  • Trust in group environment
  • Problem-solving and decision-making
  • Personality and creativity
  • Egoism and self-confidence

The skills can support the participants in other life areas like work, school, and living on their own.

Who Can Access Innovative Community Participation?

This support would suit the participants of the NDIS who:

  • Wish to become part of social and communal activities.
  • Trying to be more independent and self-confident.
  • Enjoy learning with others and in a group.
  • Have funding with Capacity Building – Innovative Community Participation

We support NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed participants.

Building Connections, Confidence, and Community

Everyone should be given an opportunity to socialize, participate, and feel a part of their community. Our Community Participation is innovative and well-supported. It is expected to open the doors to new experiences, valued relationships, and individual growth, so that participants feel ready, sure, and part of it.
