Development – Life Skills

We provide NDIS Development Life Skills services that can help individuals to learn the practical skills they need in their day-to-day living so that they can become independent and improve their long-term wellbeing. We are a registered NDIS provider, and we work with the participants to develop self-confidence, capability, and independence at their own pace.

Our support centers on action-based learning that equips the participants with real-world skills that assist them in relaxing, coping, and leading meaningful lives on a day-to-day basis.

What is NDIS Development Life Skills?

One of the Capacity Building supports is Development Life Skills, which is being funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It targets helping the participants to develop, maintain, and develop daily living skills that will help them develop independence and participation in their day-to-day life.

Contrary to doing something on behalf of the participants, they are directed towards the development of skills that can be applied in the long run, making the participant less reliant on the support and more confident in themselves and their beliefs.

Our Development Life Skills Supports

We tailor the NDIS Development Life Skills accompaniments to the objectives, capabilities, and learning styles of each participant. Supports may include:

  • Learning daily living/self-care skills
  • Building personal organization and routine management
  • Development of communication and socialization skills
  • Budgeting and money management
  • Learning cooking, food planning, and food safety
  • Developing problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Building the capacity to manage appointments and responsibilities
  • Support with organization and time management
  • Developing skills for independent or assisted living

All these supports are delivered according to the objectives of every stakeholder in the NDIS plan, personal aspirations, and their day-to-day requirements.

Practical, Person Centered Skill Building

We understand that we have different learners. We are adaptable, respectful, and strengths-based, and grow in relation to the development of skills and growing confidence.

The advocates of our Development Life Skills will be:

  • Person-focused and goal-oriented
  • Practical and hands-on
  • Delivered by encouraging, helpful, and professional workers
  • Focused on choice, independence, and confidence
  • Flexible and responsive to developments and changing demands

Any success we achieve at any level, whether it is learning a new routine or being bold enough to go alone, we celebrate.

Skills That Support Everyday Life

The skills that were gained with the assistance of this can affect life in a positive way:

  • Independent living
  • Community participation
  • Education and employment readiness
  • Personal confidence and wellbeing
  • Self-advocacy and decision-making

We want to make sure that the participants experience a sense that they are capable, confident, and have control of their lives.

Who is Development Life Skills for?

NDIS Development Life Skills is suitable for participants who:

  • Wish to build or develop everyday living skills
  • Are working to be more independent
  • Needs support in developing confidence, structure, and competency
  • Have funding under Capacity Building- Development Life Skills

We support NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed participants.

Supporting Independence for Everyday Life

Our goal is to empower the participants to learn how to live a more empowered life, to make sound choices, and feel comfortable navigating through their daily life now and in the future.
